Hey just so you know i have footsteps on my roof at least 12 hours a day and sometimes at night it s called dem squirrels and if you want i can record it tomorrow morning lol. In new zealand the other animal that can be a cause of noises in the roof is the possum australian brushtail possum. It doesn t really come across in the video but the sound was impossible to pin down. Most of the noises seem to be coming from the top of the walls.

Mice make scratching sounds squirrels sound like normal human footsteps magpies make an unearthly racket. It comes from all around the room. It could be any number of animals walking around on your roof. There are loud banging noises coming from our attic roof.

As i sit here in bed trying to get some sleep i cannot. Its not all in one area. I ve occasionally woken up to what i thought were foot step. Communal living and sleeplessness will do it.

It literally sounds like someone punching sheetrock. A lot of things sound like foot steps but if they go on and on for hours no matter what there s a good chance that noise is something else.
